My object is a ping pong paddle. In a literal sense, the object is used as a fundamental component to play ping pong. The game is typically played 1v1 and is very fast paced.
In a more abstract sense, this object represents competition. I spent lots of time growing up playing with my siblings and the sport brought out our competitive spirit more than most activities. I would like my project to capture this connotation in a meaningful way. I am consistently thinking of relating the paddles to the crown on the statue of liberty. This also stands as a symbol of our nation and the opportunities it encapsulates. The competitive spirit is both an integral part, and a necessary trait of those looking to earn make it in a fast place society.
