I really liked being able to see all the work that students have done throughout the year. There were a wide variety of mediums and projects, making the show feel particularly interesting. I really enjoyed seeing pieces that I saw being built in an exhibition. I was able to see peoples work from this class and my photography class.
3.) What information, ideas, images, etc. most impressed you and why?
My favorite pieces were Mia’s. I loved being able to see the final product of what she had been working on. I spoke to her a lot about the meaning behind the work and I felt it come through in the final product.

I loved being able to see other students work and what other classes have been doing throughout the year. I think this exhibition is very special for this reason.

This exhibition focuses on the labor that is preformed in the world, whether that be physical or emotional. Many of the pieces focus on how gender rolls effect labor. The pieces are all either prints or photographs.
2.) Use the section below to write a well-structured paragraph focusing on your personal criticalinsight / response to the event. How did you interpret or react to what was presented to you?
I really enjoyed this exhibition. I thought the pieces chosen worked well with one another to create the story. I particularly liked the first picture in the gallery that depicted a construction site in New York pouring concrete. The way the picture was framed was very interesting. One thing that I found slightly weird about the exhibition was that their was only one full color piece in the whole gallery. It made the picture stand out, but I did not think it was anymore interesting then other pieces.
3.) What information, ideas, images, etc. most impressed you and why?
I really liked the commentary on gender rolls in labor and how that was able to show through with the pieces selected.
4.) Overall, how would you rate this event (10 being the most worthwhile)?

5.) Justify your rating in the question above:
I think the exhibition was very well curated and you were able to understand the story through the pieces. It made me think about the work and labor in my life and how it is impacted by societal norms.
